  1. In Nas's top 5 for sure.. Aside from one poor track - Rule - the album is absolutely on point. It's got a resurgent vibe in the first 3 tracks (Stillmatic, Ether, Got Yourself a Gun), then after that it's got creative ideas (Rewind, One Mic, What Goes Around) and pretty much every track nails it/5().
  2. Dec 17,  · Editors’ Notes Nas' debut album, Illmatic, immediately cemented the Queens MC as one of rap music's most gifted and celebrated lyricists—a scene-painter almost without parallel, delivering an endlessly quotable stream of aphorisms steeped in the traditions of New York quicoralgesile.tergisuresssurdoubtthoucertirethacde.co the seven years after Illmatic, however, Nas was known mainly for pop crossover records and club Released on: December 17,
  3. The album peaked at #5 on the Billboard and topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart on its way to double platinum status with support from the singles “Got Ur Self a Gun” and “One Mic.
  4. Stillmatic is the fifth studio album by American rapper Nas, released on December 18, by Ill Will and Columbia quicoralgesile.tergisuresssurdoubtthoucertirethacde.co contrast to his previous work's gangsta rap themes, the album contains socially conscious and philosophical themes similar to that of his debut quicoralgesile.tergisuresssurdoubtthoucertirethacde.co' lyrics address topics such as ghetto life, American politics, and his feud with rapper quicoralgesile.tergisuresssurdoubtthoucertirethacde.co: Hip hop.
  5. The saga started back in the summer of with the mixtape "Stillmatic," Nas' answer track to an on-stage dis by Jay-Z. A few months after Jay-Z countered with the devastating "Takeover," Nas dropped the comeback single "Ether" and the full album Stillmatic ; tellingly, Jay-Z had already released his response to "Ether" (titled "Super Ugly.
  6. This cd here was the only Nas cd that I really liked after Illmatic because, Nastradaumas was too corny and comercial, and the others weren't as hot. He had the classic "Ether" on here and other hits like "Got Yourself", and "2nd Childhood". Nas always delivers lyrically but his tracks aren't always there.
  7. (Full Song) . Nas - Soundtrack of The Streets (The Lost Album Vol.. Nas -Stillmatic -FULL ALBUM. if you guys can help me out with donations for my wife who is battling a rare cancer anything would help for meds and for our son . Stillmatic (The Intro), 2. Ether, 3. 8. Jan 05,  · They all have a different style as Nas took a different approach with each one, such as Rule to Ether, 2nd Childhood to Got Ur Self A This album is one of my favorites from Nas, even the Stillmatic (Intro) was great; this album was definitely one of 's best albums/5(14).
